What I Want to Be When I Grow Up
1. Doctor
Everyone has a dream of what they want to become when they grow up. I want to become a doctor.
When I grow up, I want to be a doctor. Doctors help people feel better when they are sick or hurt. I want to be a kind and caring doctor who listens to patients and gives them the best treatment. I think doctors are very important because they save lives. Sometimes people get diseases or meet with accidents, and doctors know how to make them better. I also want to help poor people who cannot afford good treatment. I will volunteer at free health camps and clinics to help them.
I want to study hard in school, especially in science and biology, so that I can go to medical college. Being a doctor is not easy, but I am ready to work hard. I also want to learn about new machines and medicines that can help people. When I see doctors in white coats, I feel inspired.
One day, I want my parents to be proud of me as I treat people and give them hope. Helping others and making them smile will make me happy too. That is why I want to be a doctor when I grow up.
2. Teacher
I believe teaching is one of the most beautiful and important jobs. I want to become a teacher.
When I grow up, I want to be a teacher. Teachers are the ones who help children learn new things. I love how my teacher explains lessons in a fun and easy way. I want to be just like her. I will teach children how to read, write, and solve problems. Teaching is a noble profession because teachers shape the future by guiding students.
I want to be a patient and friendly teacher who listens to students and helps them when they are confused. I will use stories, games, and pictures to make learning interesting. I want my classroom to be full of fun, learning, and creativity. I will encourage children to ask questions and express themselves.
To become a good teacher, I will study hard and learn how to teach different subjects. I will also learn how to handle a classroom with love and discipline. Teachers don’t just teach books — they teach manners, confidence, and kindness too.
I think teaching is one of the best jobs because you can make a difference in so many lives. That is why I want to become a teacher when I grow up.
3. Police Officer
Some people dream of becoming superheroes. I want to become a real-life hero — a police officer.
When I grow up, I want to be a police officer. Police officers protect people and keep our city safe. They catch bad people, stop crimes, and help in emergencies. I want to be brave and strong like the police officers I see in my neighborhood. They wear uniforms, drive police cars, and work day and night for our safety.
I want to help people feel safe and happy. I will help children cross roads, find lost people, and stop thieves. I also want to stop bullying and make sure everyone follows rules. To become a police officer, I will study hard, stay fit, and be honest and responsible.
Police officers are heroes who never give up. They also teach people about safety and what to do during trouble. I will visit schools and tell children about road safety and what to do during fires or floods.
Being a police officer is a big responsibility, but I want to do it with pride. My family and friends will be proud to see me serve the country. That is why I want to be a police officer when I grow up.
4. Scientist
I love asking questions and finding out how things work, so I want to become a scientist.
When I grow up, I want to be a scientist. Scientists discover new things, solve big problems, and make the world better. I am very curious and love asking questions like “Why is the sky blue?” or “How do airplanes fly?” A scientist always looks for answers, and I want to do the same.
I want to invent machines that help people or find cures for diseases. I also want to learn about space, stars, and other planets. Maybe one day, I will go to space or help build a rocket! I love doing science experiments and reading books about inventions and discoveries.
To become a scientist, I will study science and math, and never stop learning. I want to work in a big lab with cool machines and computers. I will also try to protect the environment and find ways to reduce pollution.
Scientists have changed the world with their ideas, and I want to do that too. Whether it’s helping people live longer or making the earth a better place, I want to be part of it. That is why I want to be a scientist when I grow up.
5. Artist
I enjoy drawing and painting every day, so I dream of becoming an artist when I grow up.
When I grow up, I want to be an artist. I love drawing, painting, and coloring. Art makes me feel happy and free. When I hold a brush or pencil, I can create anything I imagine — a rainbow, a castle, or even a magical land. I want to become a great artist and show my art in galleries and museums.
Artists make the world beautiful. They design posters, paint pictures, and decorate spaces. Some artists even make cartoons and storybooks! I want to paint big murals and also make art that teaches people about kindness and nature. I will also learn digital art and animation.
To become an artist, I will practice every day and learn new techniques. I will visit art shows and learn from famous painters. I will study colors, shapes, and how to tell stories through pictures. I also want to teach art to children and help them express their feelings through drawings.
Art is not just a hobby — it’s a way to share emotions, ideas, and dreams. I want to spread happiness through my paintings. That is why I want to be an artist when I grow up
